How we got to where we are
We have been making high-quality chocolate for about 80 years. In 1923 the manufacturer Falkenpflug from Döbeln in Saxony took up production of exquisite chocolates. In 1945 after 22 successful years Falkenpflug was expropriated by the Soviet authorities.
However, production was only interrupted for a short time: soon Falkenpflug restarted production, though this time in West Germany. The firm cooperated closely with Rüger, a firm with which they shared a similar history. Keeping their administration separate, both enterprises operated on a joint production site, first in Bruchsal and later in Karlsruhe.
In 1967 Falkenpflug and Rüger merged into Farüchoc GmbH & Co KG. The courageous decision to unite both companies soon proved right: In the following three decades we increased our expertise, making us the one of the most innovative manufacturers of chocolate ideas in Germany.
1995 constituted a further decisive point in the firm's history. The Osnabrück Windel Group, a specialist in chocolate ideas combined with non-food articles and a leading manufacturer of Advent calendars, acquired Farüchoc GmbH & Co KG. Four years later Farüchoc production moved to their newly-built site in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony.
